As the Burrow attracts people from countries all over the world, there is one thing I would like to point out:
German: Sorry, spreche ich nur Englisch. Nicht email ich in irgendeiner anderen Sprache, da ich nicht kann zu antworten.
French: Désolé, je parle seulement anglais. Pas l'email j'en aucun autre langage car je ne pourrai pas répondre.
Italian: Spiacente, parlo soltanto inglese. Non il email me in qualunque altro linguaggio poichè non potrò rispondere.
Portuguese: Pesaroso, eu falo somente o inglês. Não o email mim em nenhuma outra língua porque eu não poderei responder.
Spanish: Apesadumbrado, hablo solamente inglés. No el email yo en ningún otro lenguaje pues no podré contestar.
English: Sorry, I only speak English. Don't email me in any other language as I won't be able to reply.
You see, I get emails from people everywhere, and I know they are asking me things but I don't know what it says! AltaVista's BabbelFish only works so much, if you use slang in your email then I have no way of understanding it.
Just a few more things to save everyone the hassle. Sorry, but no I won't email you anything. It gets my ISP upset if I choke up the mail server, plus the same probably happens your end too. If you want something - just grab it from the Burrow. That's what it's there for.
Oh, and don't link to my files. It's that simple.
If you're looking for something in particular on the site, go to the SITEMAP for a bit of an overview of the site to get you to where you want to go.
99% of email I get is just WONDERFUL, however sometimes I see the visitors doing silly things, and sometimes the obvious has to be pointed out. Site maps and navigation buttons and links are there so you can find things easily. I've laid things out very logically. If you do not see menus, you need to turn your JAVASCRIPT ON. Go to your browsers home site for instructions on how to do this. Then come back here, as there is a sea of goodies you have been missing out on.
As for the people who click the sponsor banners, you are my favourite visitors of all. Without you, I wouldn't be able to keep the Burrow online, which would sadden me greatly as I love working on it. But I can't pay all the bills myself forever. So keep clicking and helping me out!
If you have a question about the original screensavers I make, read this! If one doesn't work, do NOT email me saying 'Can you fix it?'. I can't read minds - my ESP broke in 1994 and it was too expensive to repair. So, what I NEEEEEEEEEEEED is some information. Tell me:
- What is your operating system? (If you're trying to install on anything other than Windows, sorry but it won't work.)
- Do you have a sound card? (Grab the NON SOUND version instead, if you don't. It's smaller so it will download faster too.)
- How much RAM do you have? (Minimum 32 meg is needed.)
- Did you install the program? If so - HOW? (Run the INSTALL.EXE)
- Did you get any error messages? What did they say?
- WHAT is the exact problem that you're experiencing? (Not 'uh, it doesn't work'.
No info, no help - it's that simple, guys. And keep this in mind when you call your ISP with a problem. Saying something is broken is NOT helpful! Oh, and sorry, I don't provide assistance on files I did not make, you'll need to check out those files for contact details of the creators.
